Lilith Plays with Others

Being a 'First Family' implies privilege, but the First Family was not feeling it. They  awoke with hunger pains more often than not. Sometimes they had fish to quell those pains. Sometimes they had carrots and blackberries instead. They often smelled so bad that they couldn't stand to be around themselves, much less each other. The bushes reeked and were so far away when you needed them.

Genesis was delighted to see his baby bother and told him, "When you get bigger, I will teach you to fish."

Adam was doing his best to provide for his family, but in addition to fishing he also needed to garden and build wood items to trade. There were not enough hours in the day to get ahead, it seemed.

Whereas Genesis had been an easy baby, Jair was not. He frequently squalled and demanded attention from Lilith. Unable to leave camp, she asked Genesis to dig up a few items around the camp for her. Genesis was a good boy and eager to please his mother.

Many days Adam found himself lonely, and sometimes Lilith would take the time to talk with him as he worked.

Note: At the end of the second Sim week $11,415 has been earned from selling rocks, fossils, frogs and woodwork.

The days started to blur together with grinding routine...

To break the monotony, Lilith suggested to Adam that he take Genesis and venture out further away from camp seeking different fruits, vegetables and fish. Genesis loved the idea.

When they returned later that day, they had a good assortment of fish. Adam reported to Lilith that he found a couple of plants that were not bearing fruit yet. Lilith had finally quieted Jair enough to dig just a little very close to camp.

Adam went straight to his workbench while Genesis bathed.

As they sat around the fire dining on fresh fish, Adam directed Genesis' attention to Lilith's sitting area.

When they arrived home Adam had carved Genesis a rabbit like they had seen during their exploration today. It was the first time Adam had made something for his family to enjoy. Genesis was delighted and Lilith was pleased.

Lilith's nights were long and daybreak came too early. She couldn't wait until Jair outgrew his swaddling clothes.

Lilith didn't mind talking to Adam all that much anymore. She had no intention of becoming one of those mated women, but found him to be more companionable as time went on.

Genesis was eager to eat his morning meal, so he could go play with the Other children.

Lilith tried her hand at creating images again. She thought this time went better, and hoped to use the image to bargain with.

Genesis came home moping. He had a disagreement with one of his friends. He went into the cave to sulk.

While Genesis was sulking, Adam fishing ,and Jair napping, Lilith went to dig a few fossils up. Instead she came across an attractive Other that she had spotted before. Jair would soon be a boy and Lilith needed to bring another child into the world. He looked like a good candidate.

When Lilith returned to their fire, Adam had already eaten and was slipping into his tent. So she sat with Genesis to eat fish and discuss his day.

In the dark of night, Jair outgrew his swaddling clothes. He was a glutton that longed to be a social butterfly.

Adam was eager to be a good big brother to Jair. He would teach Jair how to fish.

With Adam gardening and fishing with the Others and the boys fishing at different spot, Lilith decided to take a well-deserved day off. She gathered her group up and went to the cliffs while it was still daylight.

They danced and swayed to the pounding of the animal skins stretched tightly across wood. She had not felt the quickening and hoped to spot her new friend from yesterday again.

He did not show up but she found another virile looking man. Jair was a boy now and Lilith's youth and looks would not be with her forever. She needed to couple and bear children before she grew old enough to produce sickly babes or her risk dying while giving birth.
